AND THE WINNER IS...

These are the 3 headshots I will be using now. I am so pleased with how they turned out and highly suggest to all you actors out there, Jay Sullivan, as your next headshot photographer. Thank you to all who sent me your votes, especially you crazies that actually looked at ALL of them. Your input was a help even if you don't see your pic in these final 3. Now it's time for me to dust off my chords and get out there and audition!!!

VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE HEADSHOTS

Well, it's been a while since our last post and plenty has happened so I will try to catch you up. The latest news is I finally got new headshots. These were taken just yesterday so they are hot off the press and I need as many of you as possible to check them out and tell me which ones are your favorites. Disregard the fact that I have a visible scar on my head in the form of a darker skin tone and a red spot. That will all be taken out with Photoshop because it is a recent injury that will eventually disappear. Don't worry, I'm fine. It was just a little body surfing incident that threw me head first into the ocean floor, but everything is fine. So don't let the scar visibility sway your decision for your favorite photos. There are 3 different looks and I want to know your favorite photo for each look. That's 3 photos. Then, tell me which one of the three is your favorite overall. You can help me narrow down my choices by looking at as many photos as you can and giving me your opinion. The goal is to get a photo that looks like me and invites the viewer to want to know more about me. I need a photo to strike the casting directors interest in me. The 3 different looks represent 3 different sides to my personality that hopefully are the most castable. Some will be used for theatre and some for television, film, commercials, etc. There are two different sets of photos above. Please look at both sets so you can make an informed choice. Just click on the photo to take you to the full slide show. The photos are numbered on the website if you click on the first one when it first loads the page, so vote by commenting on the blog, giving me the numbers of the photos you have chosen. You can also send me an email. My email address is jeremy_johnson@rocketmail.com. This is a new address so if you didn't receive my earlier email about the change, please update your address book now. I want to make my decision on the 3 best photos as soon as possible so please help me out and take a look at them as soon as you can. I can't even audition until I get these printed. Stay tuned for more info on the latest events here in The Big Apple.

KEITH & ERIN'S NYC VISIT

These are some of the photos I took during Keith & Erin's visit to NYC last Summer. They are completely different than the ones Keith took above so don't worry about repeats. Again, you can watch the slideshow here at the size shown or you can click any photo to take you to the site where you can view them full screen. Oh yeah, for those who don't know, Keith is Leah's brother and Erin is her sister-in-law. They are the ones responsible for that cutie niece of ours, Ana, and our new baby nephew, David. Enjoy!

STORY TIME WITH JEREMY AND ANA

The video you are about to see is rated PW (Poo Wee). Don't worry, soon it will all make sense. Ana brings me a kid's book off her shelf and asks me to read it. I have never seen it before. Let's just say I sometimes think we try to educate the kids about certain things a bit TOO EARLY!

THE ANDERSON'S VISIT TO NYC

The slideshows above and below can be viewed full screen by clicking on the slideshow with your mouse. It will take you to the Picasa website and you can watch the entire slideshow in full screen mode. The photos above were taken last Summer when Leah's parents, Dennis and Connnie, came to visit us in NYC. I took over 500 pics, but I chose about 140 or so for this slide show. They take place all over the city indoors and outdoors so you will see a great variety of what the city has to offer. The slideshow below contains photos taken of Keith and Erin's visit to NYC last Summer (Leah's brother and sister-in-law). These particular photos were actually ones from Keith's camera. I will upload more of my pics later. The highlight here is Leah's HUGE YAWN during the Mets game. Keith got a great shot. The picture of the feet with the verses on it was actually a picture Keith took of our feet hanging off the upper deck of Shea Stadium. Enjoy!

THE JOURNEY CHURCH

With Easter being tomorrow I thought it was a good time to tell you about our church. We have been attending The Journey Church since last April. (click photo on right to go to the Journey website) In June of last year I joined the staff as a member of the media production team on a part time basis. I was brought on the staff to work 1 day a week in the office and all day on Sundays. Leah is a member of the dance team. She is dancing a solo this Easter Sunday to U2's Grace. The Journey started 6 years ago on Easter Sunday in 2002 so we don't have our own building like the older churches in the city. We hold services at The Manhattan Center Studios on 34th St between 8th and 9th avenues in the Grand Ballroom. (click top photo to go to MC studios website) They hold numerous concerts here as well as conferences, dance competitions and even wrestling matches! It is also a recording studio. Since we rent the space we have to setup and strike our equipment every Sunday. I arrive at 6:30am to setup. Then we have services at 10am, 11:30am, and 1pm. Next, I catch a quick lunch with Leah before she goes to work at the restaurant and then I go back to the church for the 6:30pm service and strike. I leave around 8:30pm most nights. Yep, it's a looong day, but a good one. You can listen to podcasts of our services by clicking on the podcast icon to the right. We have a great worship team with backup singers, lead vocals, and an awesome variety of instrumentalists that all rotate Sundays so the sound varies depending on who is singing and playing. Best of all, we have made friends here and our church family makes us feel like we have a home here. If anyone ever wants to come to church with us you have an open invitation. Happy Easter! VISITING THE ANDERSONS IN RALEIGH, NC

This past weekend we took off to Raleigh, N.C. to meet our new nephew, David Keith Anderson, for the first time! He is about two months old now and pretty much eats, sleeps, and poos, but we still had a great time seeing him and the rest of the fam: Leah's parents, brother, sister-in-law, and our niece. Check out the slide show for pics from the trip. If you mouse over the slide show the control bar appears and you can pause the show and change the pics at your own pace. If you click on a pic in the slide show it will take you to the Picasa website where you can view the slide show in full screen mode. The highlights of the weekend were singing and dancing to Ana's (2yr old niece) CD we made for her, delicious home cooking, a big birthday bash for Connie, Erin, and Keith (Leah's mom, sister-in-law, brother), and watching U23D at the IMAX! (Oh yes, it rocked!!! Check it out!!) More to come so stay tuned in!

WELCOME TO OUR NEW BLOG!

Well, I finally got around to updating our blog since the truncated New Zealand adventures. First of all, take notice that our blog address is different than the New Zealand site. There is no longer an 'nz' at the end of our names. The new address is just 'leahjeremy.blogspot.com'. For those of you that don't know, Leah and I are now living in New York City, pursuing a career on Broadway and hopefully in film, TV, and/or music. We live in Sunnyside, NY, which is just over the East River from Manhattan. We are about a 20 minute subway ride from Times Square so it is a double blessing because we are outside the city where it is much quieter, but we are close enough to make it easy to audition and work in the city. We have lived here almost a year now and just signed our first lease on a great apartment that we have been subletting since last June. Since this is just an introduction I will end it here, but check again soon as I will continue to fill you in on more details you've missed out on in the last year. Upcoming topics will include: jobs, shows we've done, our church, and plenty of fun NYC pics of all the visits we've had from our friends and family over the past year! Ya'll come back now! Ya hear?
